Donna Stewart Hickman is a professional artist, art educator, and graphic designer who graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a BFA in Painting (1989) and a MA in Art Education (1998).
As a Fine Artist, she chooses to work with traditional oil paint, due to its luminosity and high pigmentation. The focus of her subject matter is the landscape where color and design are explored.
In addition to being a Fine Art Painter, Donna has worked as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator where she conceptualized, designed, and illustrated pieces for such projects including: logotypes, posters, brochures, manuals, and animation sequences.
Donna has also worked as an Art Instructor at Stevenson High School (1998 - 2010) where she challenged students to work creatively, learn new techniques, and develop both perceptual skills and problem solving skills. She has taught drawing, painting, design, digital imaging, and photography. She was also responsible, as core leader, for supervising curriculum development and providing leadership within instructional improvement and the enhancement of student achievement.

Jonathan Pruc
www.jonathanpruc.com Jonathan Pruc is an artist and educator. He attended The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, receiving a BFAAE (2009) and an MA in Education from Concordia University Chicago (2015). Since 2009, Jonathan has taught art and photography at various Chicago-land schools. He currently teaches Visual Art and Photography at Mundelein High School and has taught courses in drawing, painting, photography, design, and sculpture. As an artist, he is currently producing process-based work that ranges in media and technique. His recent paintings explore the idea of control and method. Instead of using a brush to paint in an additive practice, Jonathan layers and builds the paint up to a desired thickness then carves into it reductively to reveal the image. His paintings have a visible topographic texture that is an environment in it of itself. By focusing on techniques and materials, he creates intense personal moments created by means of rules and omissions, acceptance and refusal, luring the viewer in. |
